Wayside @ The Green Room - May 14th 2003

Come and join us at The Green Room (695 Cambie Street) on Wednesday, May 14th
2003. This will be an early show with Spark That Screams opening the show at
9:30pm. We go on at 10:30pm. Come out and support local music. It should be a
great night with a surprise or two.

Let us know if you're coming. We hope to see you there!

Mark

The show was great. The new material really adds a lot to the set and
the 'surprise' at the end was really good. Wayside just can't seem to
let 'Every Rose' go.

Thanks,
Hopefully the Medley idea works as a way of transitioning the song out of our
set. We'll have to come up with some new surprises.

I don't think every rose needs to go completely. I just think you've played
it 'for the last time' quite often.

Although if it left it wouldn't be a bad thing. The originals are as good, if
not better, than the covers.

Yeah we like to throw the covers in just so people that aren't familiar with
our material recognize at least something in our set. People seem to really
like hear something they know. Once they have been to a few gigs they get to
know our material but at least the covers give them somewhere to start.

We have few new songs nearing completion so its a nice postion to be in when
you actually have to pick and choose your songs to fill a set list.

As for the covers, maybe you should try something newer? I just don't know if
the covers appealed to the fans of the opening band, given the age difference.

Just a thought. I think a Weezer cover would suit you.
