Quite often, people approach me and say, "Trent, as a member of one of 
Canada's greatest indie rock bands, and founder of the whole modern rock 
movement, there surely must be some artists that really do offend you. People 
that are essentially a waste of carbon, that waste money and electricity to 
record and broadcast such utter crap that the world would truly be better off 
if their parents had never done it in the back of their Chevelle. Who bugs 
you?"

As a matter of a fact, there aren't that many that really do bug me.... and 
people are actually quite surprised by some of the ones that do. In order to 
avoid answering the question repeatedly every time I do a television spot, I 
thought I would just post them here:

The Tragically Hip (a creation of the Canadian government to create culture 
for our youth)

Alanis Morisette (belongs in the pit of despair she dug when she was making 
millions as a teenie bopper)

Nickelback (I'm from Vancouver, I'm supposed to love them. I just don't)

Buffy St. Marie (see comments on the Hip)

Any band/artist who has let those freaking lame ass losers on 
MTV's "Becoming" re-enact one of their videos. They should be suing MTV and 
the kids that copied them, not supporting it. I can't believe people are 
willing to let kids do that to themselves. Especially Eminem. Dude. If anyone 
should have put an end to it, you had the chance.

Kelly Osborne. In fact, I wish all of the Osbornes would give it a rest. Ozzy 
should feel bloody well ashamed of himself. He used to be the Prince of 
freaking darkness, and now he's a loser. He went from biting the head off of 
animals to cleaning up their piss on national TV. Nice work.

That's about it. I love everyone else. Especially the B-52's. Man do they 
every rock.
